Academic honor for Men’s Swim-Dive

2013-14 Tommie men's swimming and diving posted a 3.25 grade-point average last semester to qualify again for the College Swimming Coaches' Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-America honor list.

Division III had 92 men’s teams honored for the spring semester, and the Toms closed among the top 40 team gpas.

St. Thomas enjoyed another strong season and repeated as conference runner-up. At last March’s national meet, UST had one All-America recipient in sophomore Mike Lanz. 

Six upperclass men’s swimming and diving athletes made last season’s MIAC All-Academic with cumulative grade-point averages of 3.50 or better -- Evan Eklund (JR, Shoreview, Minn.); Cole Fuerste (JR, Dubuque, Iowa); Max Hamilton (SO, Richfield, Minn.); Brandon Hoshaw (JR, Apple Valley, Minn.); Nick Johnson (SR, Blaine, Minn.); and Matt Rippentrop (SR, Waukee, Iowa).

As a team, Tommie men’s swimming and diving has a 3.33 cumulative grade-point average.
